Catching up...

It has been three years since we found ourselves writing an update…Adam was finishing his undergraduate degree and was preparing for an internship in North Platte, NE, and Isaiah was in Hannah’s womb…
Once again we find ourselves writing an update—but now, Adam is finishing graduate school, preparing for another internship, and we welcomed Rebekah Lynne into our home this past October!
As we reflect on what has transpired since we last wrote, we are continually reminded of our Lord’s faithfulness and sovereignty—His hand has been indisputably evident!
Adam is currently studying at the Moody Theological Seminary, and Lord willing, will graduate in May 2011. He will graduate with a Masters of Divinity, and is in the process of applying to Grace Seminary in Winona Lake, IN, for a counseling degree, with the hopes of pursuing a license as a marriage and family counselor before returning to Nebraska for future full-time ministry. The Lord has gifted him in reaching out and relating to people and so we continue to pray that the Lord would find him faithful as he pursues this training!
Hannah has continued working full-time at Moody, but is greatly anticipating the prospect of being a full-time Mommy come the end of May! Her last day at MBI will be May 21st. While she has thoroughly enjoyed the 5 years of working for the Customer Service Center at Moody, the allure of two incredibly cute and delightful children has proven to be much stronger! We are trusting that the Lord will provide for our financial needs as we look for employment for Adam in the months ahead.

Well, it is official - Isaiah has turned into a little boy - seemingly overnight! He is now a 3 year old, and constantly reminds us that he is “growing big” and “growing strong”. Just the other night, he and Adam began singing a Stuart-Walker original, “Water Makes Isaiah grow” - Adam would sing a line, and Isaiah would respond with various lyrical additions of “food”, “juice”, and “cheerios”. Isaiah’s choice for the final verse? “Candy makes me grow” (haha!). He is a creative boy with lots of imagination—in fact, at AWANA, he was given an award entitled, “Most Imaginative”! Upon receiving the award, he proceeded to display the characteristics that won him the award—shooting webs out of his wrists in true Spiderman form! We love that boy!!
Rebekah was described by her doctor as being “robust” - and she is indeed so! She is now 7 months old, and is a very smiley girl—in fact, when she was only 2 weeks old, I was able to capture her beautiful smile in a photograph! In addition to smiling, Rebekah is very gifted with sound—she produces quite the variety of coo’s, da-das, and squawks! We never tire of cuddling her and kissing her delightful cheeks...she is a consistent source of joy and laughter in our home!
We continually thank the Lord for entrusting our children’s care to us!
